    SCOTLAND OR BUST.
Thank you Klare for this fabulous blog - to read more of Klare's work, visit her blog here: https://klaresworld.wordpress.com/ 1,700 plus miles. 4 dogs. 1 Bengal and a couple of humans in a van. What could possibly go wrong… I often wonder why we have this need to travel to the wilds and then it dawned on me: "The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest where the wilderness awaits you" I have this unexplainable draw to Scotland, the Highlands in particular. Like a moth to a flame,

HOW AN EARLY MORNING ADVENTURE CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE
Thanks to Rob Haggan from The Outdoor Adventure Blog for this week's guest blog post.  Read more of his writing here.  By this point in the year, I have usually failed in all of my New Year’s Resolutions. In fact,  by this point in the year I’ve usually completely forgotten what resolutions I set myself in the first place. This year has been different though, and my resolution of getting outside before work, as many times a week as possible, is going so well that I am starting to believe that an

    FIVE DAYS OUT IN WORCESTERSHIRE
The Malvern Hills The Malvern Hills are the sight that many Worcestershire residents are glad to see when heading down the M5 towards Worcestershire – once you see them appear in the distance, you know you’re home! They can be seen from all over the county, and from the top of them, on a good day, you can see Herefordshire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire, and into Wales. With around 10 miles of ‘as the crow flies’ walking to be had, they are amongst the most popular destination in our County.

The sun is beaming. I've just returned from a run and I’m feeling amazing - it's only 4pm. I am thinking to myself; it would be a shame to waste this day, I need to make the most of the sun. So, I decide I'm going to go wild camping. The peak district is usually my go-to place, but I fancy a change. I decide on Wales but

Pancakes - the ideal camping breakfast.
This week's blog is a little early, for a very good reason.  IT'S PANCAKE DAY!  Historically, a day to use up the perishables in the house before the Lentern fast, now a celebration of the wonderful thing of beauty and deliciousness that is the good old pancake. As well as being all-round awesome, the pancake is also a brilliant food for camping and camper van cookery, as it only requires minimal ingredients and utensils. You can even pre-mix your batter and take it along with you in a clean

Adventure Dates: Stand Out This Valentine's!
Gone are the days of the popularity of tables for two, a dozen red roses and a cheesy card. Such actions are unimaginative, uninspired, and unlikely to win many favours with your other half. If you want to be truly original and romantic, try planning an adventure date. Adventure dates have a massive appeal because they are fun, different, spontaneous – and have the additional benefit of being pretty cheap and easy to organise. Here are some ideas: Boating: You could arrange a cruise on this

How To Camp - Beginners Guide Part 3. Where to Camp.
Camping is just brilliant. It can't be overstated how much fun is to be had by becoming a camper. There's something primeval and satisfying about building your home, lighting a fire, cooking your food outdoors, and sleeping under the stars, to be woken by birdsong and dawn's natural light. It appeals to the deep-seated wild person within, and leaves you feeling truly at peace and nourished with the re-connection to nature.  There are many other benefits to it as well, none more so than the
